The highly speculated rematch between Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko will no longer take place, as Klitschko has made the decision to retire from boxing.

Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn, had been speculating for months that a potential rematch between the pair, would take place in Las Vegas, Nevada should it go ahead, however, Joshua’s camp was still awaiting confirmation from Klitschko’s as to whether or not they wanted to exercise their contractual rematch clause.

Back in April, Joshua stopped Klitschko in the eleventh round, in front of 90,000 fans at Wembley Stadium.
