It has been confirmed that Sky Sports have secured the UK broadcasting rights to the highly anticipated Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor bout. Sky has also confirmed that the event will air exclusively via their pay-per-view service channel ‘Sky Box Office’.
Speculation surrounding the price point of the event has also been settled, with Sky confirming the Mayweather vs McGregor bout will cost £19.95 for viewers in the United Kingdom to purchase. The cost for the Republic of Ireland is set at €24.95.
Previously, there had been great speculation that the UK and ROI were set to suffer the same overinflated fate as their American counterpart, with viewers in the United States preparing to shell out $99.95 for a high definition feed.
