Highly-touted, British mixed martial artist, Michael “Venom” Page will join forces with former boxing world champion turned promoter, David Haye under the banner of newly incepted ‘Hayemaker Ringstar’.

The announcement came during a press conference in London on Wednesday.

Page, who is undefeated in his MMA career and a former world champion kickboxer, will now compete in boxing matches, whilst also continuing with his Bellator MMA career.

The move comes as little surprise, Bellator MMA CEO Scott Coker, recently confirmed that the promotion had given ‘MVP’ permission to box, agreeing to a deal with a ‘local promoter,’ whilst the company schedule an early 2018 date for him to fight fellow Brit Paul Daley in a hotly-anticipated bout.

Haye himself also announced the deal on Twitter with the following statement:

Hayemaker Ringstar also confirmed that they have signed a three-year deal with UKTV channel Dave to broadcast five fights a year.

Last July, Page was heavily praised by former heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis, who hailed MVP as ‘the man’ following his jumping knee knockout of Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos in London.

Also announced to be joining Hayemaker Ringstar Promotions, Olympic silver medallist Joe Joyce as well as Qais Ashfaq and Willy Hutchinson.
