Although there has been no official confirmation yet, sources close to situation have alleged that Marc de Bonte’s body has been found by the police earlier today. Authorities found a body in a canal 2.5km from where his car had been previously found after he was reported missing on November 5.
The former Glory middleweight champions car was discovered approximately 40 metres from the canal and despite the distance between the location of the body and the where the 26-year olds vehicle was found is not uncommon in cases such as this.
At the time of writing authorities are not willing to confirm or deny whether body found today died under suspicious circumstances but it is believed that the coroner will examine the body over the weekend; and that an official announcement is expected come Monday.
