It has emerged this evening that former BAMMA Heavyweight champion Mark Godbeer (11-2) has been snapped up by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on a four-fight deal.

The news of the 32-year-old making the jump to the world’s number one mixed martial arts promotion was announced by Godbeer’s representatives Duello Sports Management via their Facebook page.

Since returning from an 18-month lay off following a sexpand round TKO loss to Cheick Kongo at Bellator 102 the All or Nothing trained fighter has gone on a three-fight win streak, defeating Thomas DenhamPaul Taylor as well as Stuart Austin at BAMMA 25. As a result of this impressive run ‘The Hand Of’ has been called up to the UFC.

Despite no fight announcement being made, Godbeer’s management team teased a potential fight for the Heavyweight in the near future, so it looks possible that he could make his debut in Belfast on November 19.
