Just announced, UFC veteran Andre Winner (19-8) is confirmed to fight Ricardo van Veelan at KTMMA 2: ENGLAND vs. BRAZIL on Saturday, November 22nd at the ILEC Conference Centre, Earls Court, London.

British lightweight Winner appeared on season nine of The Ultimate Fighter, subsequently signing with the UFC. However he was released the promotion after three straight defeats to top calibre competition, which included a first round rear naked choke loss to Dennis Siver.

The Team Rough House fighter now holds a four fight win streak, most recently winning the £15,000 lightweight one-night tournament at AON – All or Nothing 6, beating the highly touted Artem Lobov in the final.

Dutch fighter Ricardo van Veelen (3-4) is considered a submission specialist, having won all but one of his professional fights by tapout. He fights out of the well-respected Team Schrijber, which is headed up by the infamous ‘Dirty’ Bob Schrijber.

One of the biggest fighters Team Schrijber has to offer is current UFC heavyweight Stefan Struve (25-6). The “Skyskraper” will help Van Veelen prepare for the toughest challenge of his career, as he faces off with the Team Rough House fighter in November.

Despite Winner’s experience, van Veelan has vowed to expose the Brits weak submissions defence to pick up a career defining win.
