Contender Promotions’ July 19th event will see local fight camp Pegasus Muay Thai honouring one of Britain’s fallen heroes Nathan Cuthberson. Nathan, Son of Tom and Carla was serving his country under 4 Platoon, B Company 2PARA in Helmand Province, Afghanistan when he was tragically killed by a suicide device. Pegasus Muay Thai will pay tribute to one of their own as Dave Corrigan – head coach – has also served our country in the Parachute regiment of the British armed forces.

Dave is absolutely passionate about raising awareness regarding what our boys and girls serving abroad go through on a daily basis. Pegasus Muay Thai actively donate and help to raise money in Nathan’s name to support others that have suffered the loss of loved ones. Fighting on July 19th, Pegasus Muay Thai fighters will all unite and dedicate their bouts to Nathan all wearing custom T-Shirts bearing Nathan’s picture along with regimental symbols that they strongly believe bond them all. Members of the army band will accompany Pegasus fighters as they walk to the ring, and furthermore, will play the regiment song after the mintue silence.

All fighters that step through the ropes to compete are warriors 100% but the men and women that choose to dedicate their lives and who work hard to protect our country are the True un-sung Heros. On July 19th promoter Garry Bell will be holding a minute silence to show respect for all serving men and women worldwide to remember those real life warriors who have gave their life so we can live in peace.

Contender Promotions are honoured to be a part of this and would really like to invite every Contender Promotions fan attending the event to join us in a show of respect.
