There’s plenty more MMA still to look forward to this month with Cage Warriors, Shock N’ Awe, Into the Cage, and Battle Arena all set to stage events before March draws to a close.
Heading back out to the Middle East, Cage Warriors Fight Night 10 takes place in Amman, Jordan on March 28. Having recovered from a brief career slump, Wales’ Jack ‘Hammer’ Marshman (14-4) is now fighting exclusively with CWFC, and in the the former BAMMA-Lonsdale British Middleweight champion and world title challenger will make his Cage Warriors debut against Abu Azaiter (8-2); another Cage Warriors newcomer with a fearsome knockout reputation.

Fight to watch: It has to be the fight between debuting middleweight’s Abu Azaitar and Jack Marshman. Cologne based fighter Azaitar will look to extend his unbeaten record to 4 wins in a row, against Welshman Marshman who is currently riding a 2-fight win streak, which includes victories over Simas Norkus and Alex Minogue.
Shock N’ Awe 16 serves up another a mix of the UK’s top fighters alongside a host of developing amateur contenders at Portsmouth’s Mounbatten Centre. A total of sixteen MMA bouts feature on the card as well as a series of K-1 style kickboxing contests. Phil Else (6-1) takes on Callum Jones (7-1) for the promotion’s vacant featherweight title while former Commonwealth Judo Champion Brett Caswell (4-0) looks to continue his exciting and undefeated start to MMA when he takes on 41-fight veteran Steve ‘Taz’ McCombe.

Fight to watch: The SnA flyweight title fight between former Commonwealth Judo Champion Brett Caswell who will look to extend his perfect record to 5-0 against vastly more experienced Steve “TAZ” McCombe. Make no mistake this will be Caswell sternest test to date against the wiley 42-fight veteran McCombe and a victory for Caswell will be the biggest win of the Lil Ninja’s career.
OTHER EVENTS
At Into the Cage 9, Alexei Roberts and Anatas Jazbutis meet for a second time, but this time with Roberts’ ITC Pro Lightweight Title on the line. With three wins in his last four bouts, Lithuania’s Jazbutis (18-20) defeated Roberts (9-5) by way of unanimous decision back in 2012 with the fight having gone to the scorecards.
Fight to watch: It could only be the fight between Alexei Roberts and Anatas Jazbutis, with current Into the Cage lightweight champion Roberts looking to avenge a unanimous decision loss to his opponent as well as defend his ITC title.
Amateur MMA promotion Battle Arena takes place at the Kassam Stadium in Oxford with a lineup of international bouts and the heaviest fight of this week’s preview. A pair of exciting heavyweights meet for the regional title as Christian Gogoric and Sam ‘The Viking’ Hill look to continue their winning ways and claim an early career title.
