LAS VEGAS (Aug. 22, 2013) – A featherweight contest between Millennia MMA standout Georgi “Insane” Karakhanyan (21-3-1) and American Top Team product Waylon Lowe (14-4) completes the NBC Sports Network-televised main card for next month’s “World Series of Fighting 5: Arlovski vs. Kyle” event.

A former professional soccer player, Karakhanyan has been fighting professionally since 2006. Born in Russia to Armenian parents, the 28-year-old now resides in Riverside, Calif., where he trains at the highly respected Millennia MMA academy. Karakhanyan currently boasts a seven-fight win streak that includes victories over big-show veterans Din Thomas, Hiroyuki Takaya and Micah Miller.

Lowe makes his second appearance for World Series of Fighting. The 32-year-old Pennsylvania native debuted for the promotion in March and made an instant impact, scoring a first-round knockout over Cameron Dollar at WSOF 2. The contest was Lowe’s first at 145-pounds after competing for the previous seven years as a lightweight.
