RANY SAADEH VS JODY COLLINS – BAMMA FLYWEIGHT WORLD TITLE BOUT

Rany Saadeh is exclusively signed to BAMMA, fighting out of IMAG fight team in Berlin. He holds a professional MMA record of 6-1-0 with victories by TKO and Submission. Having studied karate since the age of 5, Saadeh began training in MMA at 14 and turned professional at 18. Aged 20, Saadeh made an impression on UK fans, when he stepped in to win the Made 4 the Cage British Flyweight title on just 5 days notice. Saadeh went onto debut at BAMMA for BAMMA 13 where he defeated Danny Missin via TKO in the 2nd round. Saadeh’s last outing at BAMMA 15 saw him defeat Mahmood Besharate over 3 rounds to earn the BAMMA World Flyweight title shot.

Recent BAMMA signing* Jody Collins* fought undefeated in the Bantamweight division until he met Cory Tait for the UCMMA Bantamweight title, and then Mike Wooten. He now stands with record of 7-2. Hailing from Essex and fighting out of Team Titan, Collins has demonstrated a 57% submission win rate over his career. The former CFC Bantamweight champion notched up some

solid wins in the division before dropping to Flyweight. Jody Collins was slated to compete against Pietro Menga for the FCC Flyweight title in 2013, but the fight was cancelled when Menga withdrew due to injury.

Saadeh said: “Being able to win the title is something I worked really hard for. Making the dream of becoming the BAMMA world champion come true, I feel like no one can stop me. I’m training harder and better than ever for this fight just to convince everyone with my performance that I am a worthy champion.”

STEVE MCCOMBE VS PIETRO MENGA – FLYWEIGHT BOUT

Hailing from Antrim in Northern Ireland, Steve ‘Taz’ McCombe has built up a record of 20 -22 since 2004, and fought a Who’s Who of UK talent including Vaughan Lee, Leigh Remedios and Paul McVeigh. McCombe fought Phil Harris at BAMMA 2 and James McCalister at BAMMA 12. The majority of his wins have been attained in the first round with 80% by Submission or TKO. McCombe is currently ranked at 8 in the UK and is coming off a win against Brett Caswell.

Pietro “Pitbull” Menga stands undefeated with a record of 11-0 that includes 7 first round finishes and the majority of his wins via Submission. The MMA Academy fighter is from Salford in Manchester with Italian blood; and is renowned on the North West circuit, with both the FCC

European Flyweight and Bantamweight belts to his name. His victories include one over BAMMA’s reigning World Flyweight champion, Rany Saadeh, while the BAMMA Fight Night bout marks a rematch against Steve McCombe. Menga studied Muay Thai from the age of 6 and competed in the discipline before moving to Atherton Submission Wrestling in his teens. From here he achieved numerous grappling accolades, taking Gold several times at Ground Control, Gold at the Paris open and Gold multiple times at both the British No Gi and British Gi opens. Menga has frequently travelled to train, and his quest for BJJ knowledge has resulted in a number of trips to train in

Brazil. Menga is a purple belt in BJJ and 3rd ranked Flyweight in the UK.
