On Saturday, October 12th at the 4000 capacity Norbreck Castle venue in Blackpool, England, UK MMA promotion ECC: Extreme Cage Championships will host their first MMA event, ECC Banned I, that will feature a top-fifteen UK light heavyweight fight, when UCMMA UK-1 champion Iain “Badman” Martell takes on Liverpool’s own Tony Moran in the main event fight of the evening.

Moran is ranked 9th in the UK MMA rankings holds a professional MMA record of 9-5-0, with five of his wins coming via way of KO/TKO, three by submission and just one going the distance. Moran is a former member of the world famous Wolfslair Academy but now fights out of Sapphire MMA in Huyton, Liverpool. In contrast, Martell is ranked 14th in the UK MMA rankings holds a professional MMA record of 9-1-0, with six of them wins coming by KO/TKO, two via submission and only one by decision. The “Badman” is the current UCMMA UK-1 champion and fights out of Team Kaobon in Liverpool, England.

This is a light heavyweight fight that many have been wanting to see within the UK MMA community, now just fifteen days away (October 12th), these two top UK light heavyweights will finally meet in the main event at ECC Banned I in Blackpool, England and hopefully see themselves continue to climb the UK MMA rankings ladder.
