Micky Terrill who competes on Superkombat Final Elimination October 25th against Clyde Brunswijk has spoken out about the UK kickboxing scene as well as potential fight with Andrew Tate on the Superfight Series Championship event which takes place in London, England on May 16.

“There are a lot of good shows in England, but they need to be promoted better, get them on TV, and let English fighters be seen. A lot of the times English fighters are unheard of because they’re un-seen.”

Terrill switched his attention to the upcoming Superfight Series Championship show in 2015, and showed praise towards how the promotion has looked to bring kickboxing in the country together.

“This is starting to happen through Amir Subasic, he’s putting on a show called Super Fight Series and he’s bringing a lot of promotions into it to host tournaments to go into his shows.”

In an MMA PLUS exclusive, the Brit revealed him and Tate were scheduled to face off earlier this year, circumstances have now meant there is a strong possibility the two will meet in the SFC £10,000 winner takes all 90kg 4-man tournament next spring.

“I was meant to fight Tate in August, he agreed a price, agreed the terms and conditions, and then for some reason pulled out. He said he pulled out because of his contract to Enfusion, but turns out he wants to have other fights outside his contract. So I don’t know why he pulled out.”

Tate, who was born in America, has spent the majority of his career in Luton, England. He isn’t shy of trash talking to promote a fight, however his talent inside the ring allows him to back it up.

With the brackets still not finalised, it is unknown if the two will clash, with Lyndon Knowles and Adam Hart also in the tournament. However Terrill affirmed he has his eyes set specifically on Tate.

“We had a bit of an argument on the Facebook, which lead to me calling him out again. Amir has sorted out a 4-man tournament, but to be honest I’d rather just fight him straight up.” Terrill added “A lot of talk about a wild card, Andrew Tate, he’d be the first person I’d pick.”
