As Jason Andrada sat among a crowd of thousands at Lion Fight Promotions 11 he didn’t mind watching from the audience, but he was a little disappointed not being on the card as well.  “I was a little disappointed because I love putting on a show, getting experience and growing, but also now it’s a paycheck for me,” says Andrada. “I didn’t mind watching either, sitting with my girlfriend and friends watching great fights.”

Now  he’s looking forward to some LFP 12 action while also preparing for the third professional fight of his career. And while he feels comfortable performing on a big stage like Fremont St., he is still adjusting to fighting professionally.

“…settled as in fighting for a big show, the fans, lights, and being on tv gets me excited, so I think I have settled into that part of being a pro,” exclaimed the Las Vegas fighter, admiting that he doesn’t have much international experience; especially with fighters who make this their career.

“My pro career is just starting…I’m still getting used to elbows being thrown at me as well,” he continued, adding that with each fight win or lose he wants to learn and grow.

I’ve seen Andrada fight both levels and believe that he will always put on a good show, whether it be in Downtown Vegas, or Japan.

Q. What does the success of LFP 11 mean to you as a fighter of the promotion, and as a fan?

As a fighter the success of the promotion would mean more lion fights for me to fight on and it means that Muay Thai is growing in the US. Hopefully it means I will get paid more too. lol. As a fan of muay thai it means that the sport is growing and I will get to keep seeing quality fights in my hometown.

Q. If you could chose a location any where in the world for a LFP card, where would it be and why?

A. Japan, because i really want a free trip to Japan. I hear the sushi is amazing 🙂

Q. As a pro what direct affect do you see in yourself as well as your students at Fight Capital?

A. Its a bigger responsibility. It isn’t just a hobby anymore (although it never was for me) but I have to take things a bit more seriously as if this were a business.

Q. What does your upcoming fight mean to your career, and do you have any words for your opponent?

A. Mohammed is well seasoned and have fought some big names. I think a win can only boost my level/ranking and I believe I will learn a lot from this fight as I try to each fight. Most of my opponents have showed me a ton of respect and I show respect back. I am sure he is training hard as am I so it should be a great fight we must give the fans what they want.

Q. What other match-up(s) on the LFP 12 card are you looking forward to?

Tiffany always puts on an amazing show  and I’m always pumped to watch her fight. Miranda and Nick Chasteen, two well seasoned fighters making their pro debuts -I’m Hella stoked for them. Anthony another Vegas native repping our city. Don’t blink on that one lol and of course the main event Malaipet vs Pinca.

Q. What word best describes.yourself as fighter?

A. You have to ask the fans 🙂

Q. Any other comments?

A. I want to thank Lion Fight for always putting on top quality shows, my family who I try to make proud, my girlfriend who keeps my head on straight, my trainer Kru Jonathan Balgame who makes sure i am always prepared, everyone at fight Capital, my sponsors DOBEZDESIGNZ.COMOCCINK.COM, HOLTON TRUCK LINES, MUAYTHAIADDICT.COM for helping me out, and last but not least everyone that has been showing me mad love over the years, coming to see me fight or even messaging me with support love you guys!
