Bellator MMA will make its return to Torino, Italy for Bellator 176 and Bellator Kickboxing 5 this April.
Both events will take place at the Italy’s largest indoor sports venue the Pala Alpitour which is situated just a few meters from the city’s Olympic Stadium.
The Viacom-owned promotion returns to the venue less than a year removed from their first-ever international event which was held in front of a sold-out crowd of over 15,000 adoring Italian fans.
Bouts announced for the MMA portion of the card so far includes a match-up between undefeated welterweight’s Carrington “Jetsetter” Banks (6-0) and Mihail Nica (5-0) and a lightweight bout pitting Djamal Chan (12-3) against Valeriu Mircea (13-4).
Denise Kielholtz defends belt against Martine Michieletto
The kickboxing portion of the card will see Bellator’s female flyweight World Champion Denise Kielholtz (46-3) makes the first defense of her title against ISKA and WKU World Champion Martine Michieletto (34-12-5).
Kielholtz quickly rebounded from a controversial defeat at Bellator Dynamite 2 against Gloria Peritore to win the rematch in emphatic fashion to win the flyweight strap at Bellator kickboxing 4 last December.
Now the 27-year old Dutch fighter will look to successfully defend her title and cement her status as one of the best female flyweight’s in kickboxing today.
The Doctor looks to make it 3-0 under the Bellator Banner
The card also features top P4P lightweight Giorgio Petrosyan (83-2-2, 1NC) taking on Amansio Paraschiv (23-5-1). The Doctor will make his in-ring return after scoring a 3rd round TKO with over Britain’s Jordan Watson on the same card that saw Kielholtz win Bellator kickboxing gold.
