Remy Bonjasky makes his comeback this Sunday in the main event of WFL: The Final 16“The Flying Gentleman” will cut his retirement short to fight Melvin Manhoef for the fourth time in his kickboxing retirement bout.

Before he accepted the fight with Manhoef, “The Flying Gentleman” was challenged by other big names like Gökhan Saki, Ismael Lazaar and, most prominently, GLORY heavyweight champion Rico Verhoeven.

Bonjasky tells MMA Plus he’s not sure he will hang up the gloves again after Sunday.

“Every day I’m getting older, which means I get less strong. All the fighters that are challenging me, like Rico, he’s 28, every day he’s getting stronger and I’m getting weaker”, Bonjasky says.

“The first time he challenged me was a long time ago already. One year ago he challenged me, which means I’m less strong. I need to think every time ‘Will I do it or not?’”

Let’s say I fight Rico, which means it will be somewhere around 2018. That means it will be two years since he challenged me. I have to think if I’m gonna fight him or not. After this fight, I will go back to the drawing table, talk to my people and then we’ll see.”
