Crice Boussoukou had been matched-up to fight Yassin Baiter in the 72.5kg Enfusion League on February 18, 2017 at Enfusion Live 46. However, Boussoukou was replaced by Redouan Laarkoubi after announcing his retirement from kickboxing and dedicating his life to Islam instead.

The French fighter who had fought for both Yokkao and GLORY Kickboxing in the past, had posted a statement at the start of fight week explaining his retirement from kickboxing.

“I would like to share with you my experience as a professional boxer double world champion and champion of Switzerland, and now as a Muslim (servant of God).”

“I’ve dedicated my life to this sport to the point of forgetting my values such as taking care of my family, take care of my brothers and sisters, my mother and especially the religion of Islam.”

“This religion which is a religion of peace that my bring everything I needed and everything that I was looking for, my softened, improve my behavior to love everyone…”

 

Enfusion commentator, Vinny Shoreman, spoke about the change of direction the Enfusion fighter’s life and was full of praise for the Frenchman as both a person and fighter on the post-event podcast.
