Daniel “The Warrior” Sam returns to action on June 13, for Superkombat Special Edition Switzerland, which takes place at Umwelt Arena from Spreitenbach, Switzerland.
The event will also include a four-man, one-night heavyweight tournament and two of the most expected fights of the year.
The No. 1 UK ranked heavyweight, Sam makes his first appearance in Superkombat since a 2012 win over Ibrahim Aarab, is making his comeback in Superkombat against “Bad Ass” Brian Douwes.
Sam is currently on a four-fight skid, and needs a big win over Douwes to hold his reputation at heavyweight. Dutchman Douwes in on a two-fight streak, and is one of Europe’s top ranked heavyweights, most recently beating prospect Tarik Khbabez by decision.
Also on the card, “Bucharest Bad Boy” Bogdan Stoica faces Horace “Boy Boy” Martin in an attempt to reclaim the cruiserweight belt, he lost to Igor Bugaenko in December 2013.
In the first heavyweight semi-final of the night, the veteran Nikolaj Falin (Russia) clashes with rising star Enver Sljivar (Bosnia and Herzegovina), while in the second semifinal, D’Angelo Marshall of Cuaracao will face prospect Michal Reissinger.
In three middleweight bouts, Cristian Milea of Romania will face Francisco Matos while Faton Vukshinaj of Switzerland will fight against Mika Tahitu of Netherlands. Also, Errol Koning of Suriname is coming back with a super-fight against Switzerland’s own Zyber Rudaj. Also, Albanian champion based in Switzerland, Shkodran Veseli, is making his debut in Superkombat against another rookie, Anghel Cardos of Romania.
Organized under franchise, the Superkombat Special Edition will be presented by Gladiators Fight Night and will be broadcast on Eurosport.
Superkombat Series will continue in June 19th with the third WGP of the year in Constanta, Romania, where Catalin Morosanu and Andrei Stoica are the main-stars of the event.
