It’s finally official, Muay Thai superstar and K-1 veteran, Mohamed Khamal finally put pen to paper last night in a three year contract, confirmed to MMA Plus by Enfusion Live.

The date for Khamal’s Enfusion debut had recently been reported for March, 18, 2017 at Enfusion Live 47, before the final stages of negotiations had been agreed by both parties.

However, Enfusion are set to make an announcement regarding Khamal’s opponent shortly after the new year. The confirmed signing of one of world’s finest 70kg K1/Thai rules fighters will have kickboxing fans around the world on tenterhooks about the Dutch based promotions plans for 2017.

Khamal last fought in the Netherlands on the World Fighting League event in April against K-1 legend, Andy Souwer. The fight was Souwer’s kickboxing retirement fight which, which he won by decision, in a thrilling fight between the two kickboxing pioneers.

Enfusion had recently announced exclusive European fight deals for Muay Thai legends: Buakaw and Yodsanklai. As well as having agreed such deals with Jomthong Chuwattana and Superbon Banchamek, both of whom are semi-finalists in the 70kg Kunlun World Max on New Year’s day at, Kunlun Fight 56 in China (headlined by Buakaw vs Xian Tin).
