After the recent news that Gokhan Saki had relinquished the GLORY kickboxing Light-Heavyweight championship, the vacant belt will be on the line at Bellator: DYNAMITE on September, 19 in San Jose, Calif.

The Bellator: DYNAMITE event will see a night of hybrid combat, as both MMA and kickboxing take centre stage at the SAP Center.

Liam McGeary (10-0) will defend his Bellator MMA LHW title against Tito Ortiz (18-11), and in the GLORY kickboxing section of DYNAMITE, Zack Mwekassa (13-2, 12 KO) and Saulo Cavalari (31-2, 19 KO) will meet for the second time to decide a new 95kg champion.

Mwekassa and Cavalari competed in the GLORY 18: Oklahoma LHW contender tournament in November, 2014. Both men advanced to the final, where Brazilian Cavalari knocked out Mwekassa with a third round, flush head kick.

Both men have had successful outings in the GLORY kickboxing ring since their clash in Oklahoma. Dubbed ”Cassius Clay’, Cavalari defeated highly regarded prospect Artem Vakhitov at GLORY 20: Dubai, whilst ‘The Black Warrior’ landed a left hook finish on Carlos Brooks at GLORY 22: Lille.

Additional Glory kickboxing bouts and competitors for “Bellator MMA: Dynamite” will be announced shortly, including a possible MMA vs. Kickboxing superfight between Nieky Holzken and Paul Daley.
