Zakaria Zouggary is looking like one of the fastest rising stars in GLORY. With a second win under his belt in GLORY, “Double Z” has his eyes on the prize.

The 23-year-old Zouggary beat Massaro Glunder at GLORY 45 in Amsterdam and the Rotterdam native tells MMA Plus he feels the win got him closer to the end goal, which is the GLORY featherweight title.

“That’s the mission of every fighter in GLORY, doesn’t matter which division. Step by step we’re coming closer, that’s the only thing that matter”, Zakaria says. “Sooner or later, I will become the champion. If you’re a fighter in this beautiful organisation, you want to be the best and become champion. If these aren’t your goals, you’re not a fighter in my opinion.”

With a fight against Petchpanomrung Kiatmookao in his hometown of Rotterdam lingering, the Dutch-Moroccan fighter hasn’t planned out when he wants to be champion: “Planning is not my best skill. This fight I gained great experience and learned more and more. I’m very grateful. I don’t know when, but sooner than later.”
