Kickboxing prospect Josh Jauncey (21-4, 10 KO’s) is set to feature on the GLORY 19 SUPERFIGHT SERIES card after inking a new long-term, multi-fight deal with GLORY.

The event takes place from Hampton, Virginia on Friday, Februry 6, and the young Canadian fighter is set to face 22-year-old German Max Baumert (24-4, 13 KO) who will make his promotional debut for the kickboxing premier.

Lightweight Baumert enters the GLORY ring riding a two-fight win streak. He celebrated a good 2014, going 3-1, with his only loss kickboxing veteran Andy Souwer at It’s Fight Time I (TKO RD 2).

Cor Hemmers, GLORY Head of Talent Operations said: “Jauncey has gone 2-0 in GLORY with two very impressive performances. He has beaten two established veterans and now we will see him against a fellow young, hungry fighter.

“Also there is an interesting background to this fight. Jauncey is from Canada but is a member of Team Souwer, he has trained a lot in the Netherlands, and last year Baumert fought against Souwer and was stopped by him in the second round.

“So in this fight there is a chance for Baumert to get some revenge by trying to beat the youngest member of Team Souwer and upset those guys. But Jauncey won’t want to let that happen, he has some good momentum now and he will be looking to put on another show for the fans and further climb the rankings.”

Hemmers continues to bolster the GLORY kickboxing ranks, after re-signing middleweight contender Joe ‘Stitch ‘Em Up’ Schilling to a new deal, starting at GLORY 19 against the unproven Robert “The White Dragon” Thomas.

GLORY have stated: “several avenues for widespread live broadcasting of the SUPERFIGHT SERIES card are under consideration at present and fans can look forward to this developing in 2015, adding even more live GLORY content to their viewing calendar.”

UPDATE: Liverkick are reporting that Andy Ristie (45-4-1, 26 KOs) will make his return to the promotion to face Australia’s Steve Moxon (38-10-1, 23 KOs). Ristie makes his first GLORY appearance since embarrassing Ky Hollenbeck at GLORY 17. Moxon is coming off a well worked win over Aikpracha Meenayothin from Kunlun Fight #15 earlier this month.

Both men will share a commonality, with Ristie also scheduled to face Aikpracha at Kunlun Fight #16 on January, 31, which could play a part in the GLORY bout.
