The face-off between Lyndon Knowles and Kaz Mwamba became quite heated during today’s Roar Combat League – Round 4 weigh-ins. Things began to escalate moments before both fighters were due to face-off when Knowles who, interrupted Mwamba’s post weigh-in interview, took aim at his opponent with some strong words.

Following the verbal onslaught from the Knowsley trained fighter the pair faced-off with one another before Knowles would proceed to push Mwamba after being taunted by the Bloodline gym fighter but the pair were quickly separated before there was any further altercations.

Knowles had previously called-out Mwamba’s training partner, Arnold Oborotov after the Super Fight Series Championship – SFSC2 weigh-ins in the summer, which was quickly followed by an argument with SFS promoter Amir Subasic, about where he was ranked on the -95kg (K1 rules) division of the UK K1 Independent Rankings which, Subasic administers.

Following this altercation instead of receiving a rematch with Oborotov (due to Oborotov’s busy schedule and dismissive attitude towards Knowles), Mwamba quickly seized the opportunity to call-out Knowles and was granted his wish as Roar Combat League brought him in as a replacement for Umberto Lucci who, withdrew due to injury, to headline against Knowles tomorrow at the, Watford Colosseum.

Also, on the fight card tomorrow are plenty of more exciting match-ups including: Alex Bublea vs Conor McCormack, Luciano Mendola vs Thai Barlow and Chrisit Brereton vs Josefine Lindgren Knutssom.
