Tanko Muay Thai League have announced a slew of mouthwatering fights which include a co-main event featuring a European Muay Thai legend for their inaugural show.
Liam “The Hitman” Harrison will step into the ring to face spaniard Emad Kadyear who originally scheduled to face-off against the Leeds born fighter at the Bad Compay show in November 2015 before the fight fell through.
In a career spanning 17-years and almost 100 fights Harrison who has won four world titles in both kickboxing and Muay Thai, will look to get back to winning ways when he faces Kadyear after being on the wrong end of a unanimous decision loss to fellow Muay Thai great Fabio Pinca this past October.
Also added to their debut show Macauley Coyle will be face off against the highly-rated Mondo Woodcock.
Macauley and Mondo currently sit side by side in the UK Featherweight rankings in 4th and 5th respectively, and Scotsman Mondo will be looking to leapfrog his Warwick-based opponent in front of a capacity crowd in Manchester.
Red hot Jack Kennedy who has won 22 of his 23 professional fights will do battle with UK #5 Welterweight Ben Lucas.
In his last outing Kennedy defeated the teammate of his upcoming Nathan Bendon and will look to make it two wins on the bounce over a Pra Chao Suua fighter when he faces Lucas.
His opponent comes into this contest off the back of a big win at Power of Scotland 22, and he will relishing the chance to take possibly the biggest scalp of his career by defeating Kennedy.
Last but by know means least TML have announced the return of top women’s Muay Thai prospect Dakota Ditcheva who will make her return from injury when she takes on Kat Paton who is currently ranked third in the Female Flyweight Muay Thai rankings.
Tanko Muay Thai League 1 takes place on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse.
