Two title fights are locked and loaded for Lion Fight 27 following the official weigh-in held Thursday evening.
Fabio Pinca will defend his Lion Fight welterweight belt against Charlie Peters, while reigning Lion Fight featherweight champion Tiffany Van Soest will try to add the super bantamweight crown in a showdown against Ashley Nichols.
Pinca (92-33-4), who hails from Lyon, France, stepped off the scale at 145.2 lbs. with Peters (35-13), who fights out of Kent, England, registering in at 146.4.
Van Soest (15-2-1), who is from nearby San Diego, California, weighed in at an even 119 lbs., and Nichols (20-4), who is from Cambridge, Ontario, was 119.2.
Stylish striker Gaston Bolanos (7-0), who earned Inside MMA’s “Rising Star” Award for 2015, will face the biggest test of his blossoming career as he takes on veteran Kronphet Phetrachapat (74-18-4). Both California-based fighters were on point – Bolanos at 142.4 lbs. and Phetrachapat at 143.6.
