British striking specialist Paul ‘Semtex’ Daley has revealed he is keen to test himself in the world of boxing.

As Britain’s top welterweight in MMA, the 31-year-old was set to challenge Douglas Lima for the Bellator welterweight title on February 27, however the champion was forced to withdraw due to injury, and Daley (35-13-2) will now take on Brazilian André Santos (37-9).

Alongside his career in MMA, Daley returned to his first love of kickboxing in 2014 and put together a 6-0 record featuring five stoppages, and now competes under the world renown K-1 banner.

American kickboxing standout Joe Schilling, who also competes in Bellator MMA, recently explained his desire to enter the world of boxing when speaking to Fighthype.com, and the news seems to have inspired Daley to express his own aspirations.

It was revealed earlier this month that SpikeTV had secured a deal with Premier Boxing Champions to produce a monthly series. Both SpikeTV and Bellator MMA are owned by parent company, Viacom.
