Former GLORY featherweight champion Robin van Roosmalen (37-7) now has a dance partner for the upcoming GLORY 41 main event.

After winning the “Contender” tournament at GLORY 39 this past Saturday, Petchpanomrung Kiatmookao (156-35-2) will take on Van Roosmalen for the vacant featherweight strap on May 20 inside Brabbanthallen’s-Hertogenbosch in Den Bosch, Netherlands. The kickboxing promotion announced the news on Thursday afternoon.

Van Roosmalen, 27, was announced for the card on March 10 when GLORY rolled out its remaining event plans for the first half of 2017. The former featherweight and lightweight champion is coming off a fourth-round knockout victory over Matt Embree at GLORY 37–the same card he was stripped of his title for missing weight. After the victory that night he was announced as the No.1 contender for the vacant title. “Pokerface” is now 2-0 since dropping down to featherweight after losing the lightweight title to Sittichai Sitsongpeenong at GLORY 31.

Petchpanomrung, 21, defeated former featherweight champion Serhiy Adamchuk and Alexei Ulianov in one night at GLORY 39 to win the “Contender” tournament and earn a shot at the featherweight title. The multi-time Muay Thai champion of Thailand is now 3-0 in GLORY.

A light heavyweight contest between Michael Duut (40-6) and Mourad Bouzidi (79-22-2) was announced for the GLORY 41 Superfight Series, as well as a middleweight fight between Mike Lemaire (18-4) and Chinese newcomer Zhou Wei (22-6). And the GLORY 41 “Contender” tournament will take place in the heavyweight division with the four participants yet to be announced.

Additional matchups for GLORY 41 and the GLORY 41 Superfight Series are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
