It has emerged today that former Bellator and Strikeforce Heavyweight Brett Rogers has been charged with three counts of criminal and sexual assault after a number of incidents in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Sarah Horner of the Pioneer Press cited official court documents and went on to report that Rogers was charged with two counts of fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of interfering with someone’s privacy.

This isn’t the first time Rogers has had a problem with the law. The former mixed martial artist was handed 60 days in jail for beating his wife, Tiuana Rogers, in 2011.

In chronological order, the first sexual offense is reported to have taken place in November, where Rogers is accused of groping an employee at George Latimer Central Library. The employee involved in the incident said he removed Rogers’ hand before the former MMA man walked off without a response.

Subsequently, Rogers is said to have asked another male whether or not he wanted to engage in sexual activity inside a stall of a St. Paul skyway bathroom. Rogers is reported to have grabbed the complainant’s buttock after his sexual advances were rejected. A former cellmate of Rodgers’ at Ramsey County Jail was involved in the third offense; Per, horner, he reported that he woke up to find Rogers fondling him while he was sleeping. An allegation which he denied stating his cellmate was not being truthful.

Rogers started his professional fighting career in 2005 and was recruited by Strikeforce in 2009, the 35-year old held a record of 2-0 including a win over UFC heavyweight star Andre Arlovski before consecutive losses against Fedor Emelianenko and Alistair Overeem resulted in his exit from Strikeforce. He was then recruited by Bellator in 2012 where he held a record of 1-1 before spending the rest of his career in smaller promotions.
