A heavyweight bout has been added to UFC London in March as Daniel Omielanczuk (19-6-1 MMA, 4-3 UFC) is set to face off against Timothy Johnson (10-3 MMA, 2-2 UFC).

Omielanczuk and Johnson currently sit ranked 13th and 14th in the heavyweight rankings and will look to get back to winning ways after both losing in their last outing; a win for either fighter will likely see them break into the top ten of the division.

Prior to the Pole’s submission loss to Stefan Struve in his last bout Omielanczuk was riding a three fight win-streak in the UFC including a 1st minute KO victory over Chris De La Rocha and a Technical Decision win against Jarjis Danho the last time the UFC were in London at UFC Fight Night 84 – Silva vs. Bisping.

Johnson burst onto the scene on his UFC debut finishing Shamil Abdurakhimov inside one round but has since been in and out of losses holding a record of 2-2 in his last four bouts. Despite having two losses during his UFC career both were by decision including a unanimous decision loss to Jared Rosholt and a split decision loss against Alexander Volkov in his last bout.

The loss to Rosholt snapped up an eight-fight win streak which dated back to a submission loss in 2011, this was also the last time that the American was stopped during a fight so Omielanczuk will have a tough task ahead of him come March 18.

UFC London will take place at The O2 Arena in London, England on March 18 so stay tuned to MMA Plus for all the latest news, gossip and announcements surrounding the event.
