Joe Warren (12-4) moved a step closer to earning another title shot after securing a lopsided unanimous decision win over L.C. Davis (23-7) in the main event of Bellator 143 which took place at the he State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, TX in the early hours of this morning.
The former two-division champion used his well documented wrestling background to dominate his opponent on the way to getting the nod 30-27 on all three judges score cards.
In the co-main event former TUF winner Kendall Grove spent most of the contest looking to avoid the power punching of Joey Beltran until midway through the final round Grove would connect perfectly with a right hand on the chin of Beltran sending him to the canvas, and after two or three more punches the referee would step in calling a halt to proceedings at the 2:27 mark of the final round.
