From Geordie Shore to the promotion whore, model come actor, come celebrity come part-time mixed martial artist, Aaron Chalmers has enjoyed a ‘successful’ start to life in MMA under top UK promotion BAMMA, who have been accused of selling out due to their association with the reality TV star.
After fighting two of the toughest names in the division in Greg Jenkins and Alex Thompson, life couldn’t have started better for Aaron… Who are the opponents you ask? Thompson was one of the brightest amateurs in UKMMA with a record of 2-0. Unfortunately, he lost his next four amateur bouts, but hey-ho, you can’t win them all.
As for Jenkins, with not a single MMA fight in his entire life, he was an unknown quantity. A clear danger of not knowing what to expect… Chalmers however, made sure there were no doubts with a stunning KO which will surely be a contender for finish of the year.
Just weeks after his second victory in the professional ranks, Chalmers made a bizarre announcement that has left fans puzzled. Chalmers posted an announcement that he would be facing former WWE star CM Punk. The caption of the tweet read “The biggest party this Christmas. 15th December. Bamma/Bellator Newcastle. Tickets on sale Friday”. The following photo, evidently photoshopped, was used.
Lol. It's doing its job though, people talking. pic.twitter.com/HjmmiJwmf8
