It has this afternoon emerged current Bellator welterweight champion Douglas “The Phenom” Lima (26-5) has been forced of his scheduled title defence against UK slugger Paul “Semtex” Daley (35-13-2) at Bealltor 134.

UK slugger Daley revealed the news via his Facebook page and had the following to say about Lima’s apparent withdrawal from their Bellator 134 fight:

“Nervous, Scared??…..I understand, preparing to fight me….I would be. It’s ok….guess you get to have a few more photo shoots with the belt….My focus has shifted, same date, new opponent….British invasion at Bellator 134.  As for you…..I will see you soon. “

It is not know at the time of writing this why Lima has been forced to pull-out from this world title or is known who will be the man to step into face Daley on Bellator’s British Invasion card but MMA Plus will keep you updated on this developing situation.

UPDATE: Lima has  subsequently confirmed he is out of the bout via Twitter account saying the following:

According to news outlet TheMMAReport.com, Lima suffered a knee injury.
