Two of SBG Ireland’s top prospects James Gallagher and Sinead Kavanagh have been added to next month’s Bellator 173 card.

Straban, Ireland born Gallagher (5-0) will take on Isreal’s Kirill Medvedovsky in the co-main event of the evening and will look to record his 3rd win under the Bellator banner.

In his previous two outings competing for the Scott Coker led promotion, the 20-year old who trains alongside UFC lightweight champion Connor McGregor has defeated Michael Cutting and Anthony Taylor last December at Bellator 169 in front of a raucous home crowd at the 3Arena in Dublin.

His opponent Medvedovsky (7-3) will enter hostile territory on February 24th looking to bounce back from a 1st round mauling at the hands of Georgi Karakhanyan at Bellator 164 last November.

SBG powerhouse, Sinead Kavanagh will be making her second appearance inside the Bellator cage against 32-year-old Parisian Iony Razafiarison in a 140-pound catchweight matchup.

“KO” Kavanagh (4-0), who fights out of nearby Dublin Ireland will no doubt be looking to collect her third knockout when she steps into the Bellator cage against Razafiarison (1-1, 1 NC) on February 24.

The event will be headlined by a clash between former light heavyweight champion Liam McGeary taking on “The Housewives Choice” Chris Fields.

Bellator 173 takes place at the SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland on Friday, February 24 and MMA Plus will be there to bring you up to the minute results.
