The saying there is no rest for the wicked seem to fit talented welterweight Alex Lohore perfectly at the moment.

In the immediate aftermath of 2nd round submission win over Colin Fletcher at Bellator 173,  Lohore (12-1) was immediately called out by longtime rival “Mr Bag and Tag” Nathan Jones setting up a mouthwatering clash between the two talented welterweights’ that has been years in the making.

Following the Frenchmans win, Jone (10-5-) did not waste any time letting the powers know what fight he wanted next by posting the following message to BAMMA matchmaker Jude Samuel on facebook.

Like his Parisian counterpart “Mr Bag and Tag” recently scored the biggest win of his mixed martial arts career when he secured split decision victory over previously undefeated Walter Gahadza last December.

In an exclusive interview with MMA Plus the 30-year old who trains out of Team Titan in London indicated that before a fight with Lohore could be made his potential opponent “needs to pass his test, in the division” before the pair could meet.

But with an impressive win over UFC veteran Fletcher now firmly in the books surely a fight between the pair, possibly for the vacant BAMMA welterweight title could be on the cards.

With the promotion being rumoured to make it return to England in May 2017 and both men coming off career defining wins a potential grudge match between them has moved a step closer to becoming a reality.
