Irish lightweight “Stormin” Norman Parke (22-5-1) has called for for a fight with Japanese sensation Goiti Yamauchi (20-3) at Bellator 169 which takes place this December at the 3arena in Dublin, Ireland.

The Ultimate Fighter Smashes winner took to twitter earlier today and had the following message for the brass at Bellator and his potential opponent Yamauchi.

Former UFC veteran Parke who’s 9-fights fight run with the Vegas based promotion came to an end last February after a unanimous decision loss to Rustam Khabilov at UFC Fight Night 84 quickly got back to winning ways when he defeated England’s Andrew Fisher in a keenly contested encounter at ACB 47 earlier this month.

Now the 29-year old, Next Generation Gym trained fighter has his sights set on a place on the Scott Coker-led promotions debut show in Ireland and a date with submission specialist Yamauchi.

23-year old Yamauchi who despite his tender years has amassed over 20-fights to date was in action this past Friday at Bellator 162 when he needed only 61 seconds to submit Ryan Couture on his lightweight debut. The submission win which came via armbar was the 16th of his career and 13 of which to have come inside the first 5-minutes.

If a fight with Parke who is considered by many as one of the top lightweights in Europe currently plying his trade outside the big 2 promotions is made it will surly be the toughest test of the submission specialists career and will surly have fan in the UK and around the world licking their lips in anticipation .

MMA Plus will bring more news on this emerging story as we get it.
