ACB 54 takes place on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England and marks the Russian promotion’s second visit to the United Kingdom.
The headline bout of the event will feature a clash of champion’s contest that pits KSW middleweight champion Mamed Khalidov against Venator FC Middleweight champion Luke Barnatt.
Khalidov (32-4-2) has long been considered one of the hottest MMA fighters outside of the UFC after going on a 12-fight, 7-year unbeaten run that has seen the Polish fighter defeat the likes of Matt Lindland, Kendall Grove, Melvin Manhoef and Brett Cooper during this period.
Reigning Venator middleweight champion Barnatt (12-3) has finished all 4 of the opponents he has faced since the Brits 6-fight stay with the Ultimate Fighting Championship was brought to an end following a unanimous decision loss to Mark Munoz at UFC Fight Night 66.
The stacked card also features a rematch between TUF Smashes finalists Mike Wilkinson and Brendan Loughnane, one of Europes most feared lightweights Saul Rogers was scheduled to face UFC veteran Pat Healy before injury forced the American off the card.
Also, Ali Bagov will welcome former Bellator stalwart Bubba Jenkins to the ACB cage and Sweden’s Max Nunes will be looking for his second win under the Absolute Championship Berkut when he takes on Batraz Agnaev.
