After an eventful ACB 66, we summarise the action including an emphatic victory for top prospect Herdeson Batista and a brutal TKO from Viskhan Magomadov.

In the main event, Herdeson Batista recorded a short but sweet victory over Daud Shaikhaev when he knocked his opponent out in the fourth minute of the opening round with a brutal knee.

This moved the 25-year-old prospect to (12-1).

First round knockouts were a familiar theme on the card with four of the last five fights all being first round knockouts. One of which, being the most brutal finishes in Grozny.

Viskhan Magomadov faced fellow eastern European lightweight Oleg Khachaturov in the latter ongoings of the card. With just over a minute left of the opening round remaining, Magomadov brutally finished his opponent with three clubbing shots to the face of his opponent.

Despite the eye-catching finish, questions were raised of referee Ashot Ashugyan as the stoppage seemed late to say the least, as well as being distanced far away from the threatening position. A win for Magomadov saw him move to (6-2) ending the winning streak of five for Khachaturov.

Officiating seemed to be an ongoing issue with both the late stoppage and also an early stoppage.

One more incident at ACB 66, referee Viktor Komeev stopped the fight between Bai-Ali Shaipov and Anatolij Baal believing that the fighter had tapped. However, this wasn’t the case. The fight was then deemed a no contest.
