Chi Lewis-Parry threatens to ‘bin’ the ONE Championship Heavyweight title should he defeat Brandon Vera at ONE Spirit of Champions in Manilla, Philippines on December 11.
In similar events to Heavyweight boxing Champion Riddick Bowe back in December 1992, who trashed the WBC title in revolt of a fight against Lennox Lewis, Lewis-Parry plans to do the same should he beat Vera next Friday.
“I’m going to do a Riddick Bowe, and I’m going to have a bin and I’m [going to] win that belt and I’ll put it straight in the bin, and then say ‘go on, you want that belt? take it out the bin’. It’s exactly what I’m going to do because I’ve been disrespected.”
Appearing on the War of the Words podcast, Lewis-Parry launched a full scale attack on opponent Vera and ONE Championship, admitting the promotion have made it difficult to him in the lead up to the fight.
