Canada’s biggest MMA promotion TKO Major League MMA returns with TKO 39: Ultimatum on Friday, June 16 at the Complexe JC Perreault in St. Roch, Quebec, Canada. The event will be broadcast live on both Fight Network in Canada and UFC Fight Pass worldwide.

The main event will feature two familiar names as Canadian duo William Romero and Charles Jourdain clash in the evening’s featherweight headliner. Romero (10-5), who has competed in promotions such as World Series Of Fighting: Canada and Bellator, will attempt to hand the undefeated Jourdain (4-0) his first loss.

For the experienced Romero, the fight represents an opportunity for consecutive wins for the first time in over five years and a chance to impress on his promotional debut. Meanwhile, 21-year-old prospect Jourdain will be looking to maintain his perfect record in the fourth consecutive TKO show he will have fought on and has finished all of his professional fights inside the distance so far.

In the co-main event of the evening, we see a similar pattern as former WSOF veteran Jimmy Spicuzza faces 19-year-old TJ Laramie in a 145lb contest.

After losing on his TKO debut, Spicuzza (7-4) will be looking to put things right at the second time of asking and get back to winning ways. As for Laramie (5-2), who like Jourdain, has fought on the three predecessor shows to TKO Ultimatum, it represents an opportunity to perhaps set up a clash with the Montreal native.

Having fought such classy opposition in the start of his career, Laramie, and his younger brother Tony who also fights on the card, are undoubtedly ones to watch for the future and many will be intrigued to see how he handles his latest experienced challenger after losing his last bout to a controversial early stoppage.

With Marc-Andre Barriault (6-1-0) having to pull out on short notice, Jo Vallee (6-1-0) will face Canadian regional talent Peter Nolan (5-1) who comes in as the replacement for the middleweight bout. “The Bus Driver”, who usually fights at light-heavyweight, has secured all five of his career wins by submission and will make his TKO debut when taking on Quebec’s own Vallee.

The card will feature 16 fights in total with other notable names including heavyweight Adam DyczkaLindsay GarbattDavis Dos Santos and Griet Eeckhout. The event will be shown on UFC Fight Pass from 11pm GMT.

UPDATE: The Laramie Brothers have been withdrawn from the fight card as feature was published.
