Troubled Brazilian middleweight Paulo Filho (23-6-3) recent problems continue to worsen after he was shot in the leg while attending a party in his hometown of Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday night according to MMA outlet Psicoticos por VT.
Reports suggest that the 36-year old Brazilian Top Team trained fighter who was once considered as one of the best middleweights in the world was seen having a discussion with a man during the party and was later shot in the leg as he left the property the party was being held at.
Filho was taken to the Miguel Couto hospital and underwent surgery on the bullet wound but there is currently no updated on the condition of the former WEC middleweight champion.
