A couple big announcements were made yesterday by top Japanese promotion Rizin Fight Federation.

On Tuesday, Rizin FF revealed that breakout star multi-sports phenom Tenshin Nasukawa has been added to a 1-night, 4-men kickboxing tournament which is scheduled to take place at their end of year show at the Saitama Super Arena on December 31.

In the opening round of the tournament Nasukawa will face off against feared Lethwei (Burmese bare-knuckle boxing) champion Yuta Hamamoto and on the other side of the bracket Mitsuhisa Sunabe will take on Yamato Fujita for a place in the final.

Kiichi Kunimoto set to make debut against Satoru Kitaoka 

Another surprise announcement came in the form of the news that former UFC welterweight Kiichi “Strasser” Kunimoto has signed a multi-fight deal with the promotion and will make his debut against Pancrase veteran, Satoru Kitaoka in a bout which is set to take place at a catchweight of 165lbs.

If successful on his debut, Kunimoto has expressed an interest in facing the the winner of the fight between Takanori Gomi and Yusuke Yachi which takes place on the same card.

To round off a day of news from the Nobuyuki Sakakibara-lead promotion a pair of fights have been added to NYE card as japanese flyweights, Shizuka Sugiyama and Kana Watanabe clash and Japanese veteran Hiroyuki Takaya goes up against against mongolian prospect, Baataryn Azjavklan.
