After a successful start to his UFC career, undefeated Marc Diakiese will look to continue his ascent up the Lightweight division when he faces Teemu Packalen at UFC London on Saturday, March 18.

British fighter Diakiese (11-0) has impressed throughout his time with the promotion so far, winning both his fights since making his UFC debut in October 2016.

After a well received TKO victory over Lukasz Sajewski at UFC 204 in Manchester, “Bonecrusher” won over more fans as he was forced into a gutsy performance in his next fight. Digging deep, the Doncaster-based fighter pulled out the win via unanimous decision over a returning Frankie Perez at UFC Fight Night 102.

Meanwhile, Finland’s Packalen (8-1) has not been seen in the octagon since his 24 second submission win over Thibault Gouti back in February 2016 which saw him awarded a performance bonus.

“Pacu” will now look to remind everyone of what he’s about when he takes on one of Britain’s brightest young stars in what is sure to be an explosive fight.

UFC London will take place in The O2 Arena in London, England on March 18 and will also feature British pioneer Brad Pickett in his final fight before retirement, where he will face Mexican Henry Briones.
