A second bout has been added today to July’s UFC Glasgow card as Leon Edwards is set to take on Pawel Pawlak in a welterweight clash.

Britain’s Leon “Rocky” Edwards, fresh from his 8 second knockout win over Seth “Polish Pistola” Baczynski in just eight seconds in Poland last month, will look to continue his recent form, as he takes on Polish welterweight Pawel Pawlak.

Edwards, who holds a record of 9-2-0 and currently fights out of Birmingham, England. The 23-year-old will be hoping that fans all over England will make the short trip to Glasgow to show their support for him on the night.

“Hopefully I’ll get a good reception fighting on home soil – hopefully I’ll get some cheers this time!” said Edwards. “I’ve watched his [Pawlak’s] fights and he looks like he’s a good fighter. But from what I’ve seen, I can see me finishing him – I’ll get the finish in the second round or maybe at the end of the first”.

Pawlak, meanwhile, comes into the fight on the back of a win by unanimous decision over Sheldon Westcott, a victory which brought Pawlak’s professional record to 11-1-0. The Polish talent will be looking to continue his recent success when he arrives in the Scottish capital.

Ufc Fight Night Glasgow will take place at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow on Saturday, July 18 and MMA Plus will keep you updated on all the fight announcements as we get them.
