“Mr Finland” Makwan Amirkhani will make his debut in the UFC when he faces a stern test in Andy “The Little Axe” Ogle on Saturday 24th January at the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.

Self-named ‘Mr Finland’, Amirkhani (10-2), who trains alongside UFC featherweight Tom Niinimaki in Turku, will have the support of the nation as he tests his skills against the best mixed martial artists in the world.

“It’s awesome.” Amirkhani explained. “It’s a dream come true, this kind of thing doesn’t happen every day, everyone is so proud as well I can’t believe it.”

The Fin believes his Kurdish heritage will mean he will have strong support from the locals in Stockholm, but his opponent is all that’s on his mind. “He fights until the end,” Amirkhani explains about Ogle, “he has a big heart like me and this will be a fight the fans will want to see.”

Ogle (9-5), originally from Newcastle, England, has recently moved over to train with Team Alpha Male in California which boasts UFC bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw and Urijah Faber. Ogle will be hoping this new training environment will help kick off his 2015 with a bang.

“I’ve been preparing TJ Dillashaw, Danny Castillo, Chad Mendes and Andre Fili for their fights, I’ve learnt and improve and I’m the best I’ve ever been,” Ogle explains, “I don’t predict my fights but I can say that you won’t see a nice guy in the Octagon. I’m going in with my hands up and I’m ready to throw down”
