The UFC has this evening announced that a welterweight match-up between top prospect’s Brandon Thatch (11-1) and Stephen Thompson (10-1) has been added to the upcoming UFC Fight Night Colorado card.
Grudge Training Center product Thatch has been in devastating form since losing his second professional bout, racking up 10 first round finishes and has stopped Justin Edwards and Paulo Thiago in a combined time of 3:33 during his short stay in the UFC.
His 31-year old opponent Thompson, has quickly rebounded from an unanimous decision defeat to Matt Brown to register 4-wins in a row against Nah-Shon Burrell, Chris Clements, Robert Whittaker and most recently Patrick Cote at UFC 178 and will look to continue his good form with a win over 29-year Thatch.
UFC Fight Night Colorado is scheduled to take place Saturday, February 14 at the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, Colorado.
