It has emerged today that British mixed martial arts trailblazer Brad “One Punch” Pickett will make his farewell appearance in front of hometown fans at the O2 in London.

The event set to showcase some of the best British talent in MMA . With young local prospects heading to the big stage on home soil, the event on Saturday, March 18.

Pickett (26-13) will face Mexican Henry Briones (19-6-1) in his retirement fight at The O2 in London. After excelling at a young age in football, an injury turned the East Londoner to combat sports and his passion in what, at that time, was the relatively unknown sport of mixed martial arts.

With knockout power and an exciting fighting style, Pickett fast rose up the ranks and became a fan favourite in the UFC as well as a pioneer for British MMA.

One Punch has experienced a mixed bag of fortune in recent times and as a result the Team Titan/American Top Team trained fighter has gone 1-5 in his last 6 fights but the 38-year old will look to bring the curtain dow on his career in style when he enters the octagon in front of hometown fans.

His opponent Briones has suffered back-to-back losses the coming in November when he was on the wrong end of a third-round spinning back fist KO loss to Douglas Silva de Andrade at UFC Fight Night 98 and will look to get back to winning ways when he faces Pickett.

UFC Fight Night 107 goes down on Saturday, March 18 2017 at the world famous O2 Arena in London, England and MMA Plus will be on hand to brig you up to the minute news and results from the event.
