Earlier this evening the tension between mens bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz and No. 5 ranked Cody Garbrandt reached boiling point ahead of UFC 207.
During an television interview with Canadian broadcaster Fight Network Garbrandt (10-0) prematurely ended the interview with him and Cruz (22-1) after losing his temper with the reigning champion.
The 25-year old Team Alpha Male trained fighter threatened to enter the the room his opponent was in after trash talk between the pair turned to Garbrandt’s girlfriend who Cruz chad previously had a spat with on social media.
Cruz would turn things up a level when he taunted “No Love” by saying: “She shouldn’t be hollering at me on social media, Keep her to yourself. As far as I’m concerned, I did you and her a favor. She obviously wears the pants in the relationship or else she wouldn’t be having to defend you.”
None to pleased Garbrandt responded by saying “I’ll come across there right now,” Garbrandt said. “You’re a room away.” To which Cruz cheekily responded, saying, “C’mon, turd. Let’s go.”
