UFC Women’s Featherweight champion Cris Cyborg has wasted no time in looking for the next challenger to her 145lb strap and has set her sights on an end-of-year clash with former bantamweight titleholder Holly Holm.

The Brazilian took to Instagram yesterday to call out Holm and has targeted UFC 219, which is scheduled to take place on December 30 in Las Vegas, Nevada, as a potential date and time for the match-up.

Cyborg won the vacant title last month at UFC 214 in Anaheim, California with a third round TKO finish of Invicta FC’s bantamweight champion Tonya Evinger. Although originally scheduled to face the all-women’s promotions’ featherweight champ Megan Anderson, the Australian was forced to pull out of the event due to “personal issues”. The belt had been vacant since it was stripped from inaugural champion Germaine de Randamie for her refusal to fight number one contender Cyborg.

Holm, meanwhile, got back to winning ways with a KO win over Bethe Correia at UFC Fight Night 111 in Singapore back in June this year. This followed a nightmare run of three straight defeats for “The Preacher’s Daughter” including losing to de Randamie in her first attempt at winning featherweight gold.
