Just 12 days removed from their co-main event scrap at UFC 207 bantamweight champion Dominick “The Dominator” Cruz (22-1) and challenger Cody “No Love” Garbrandt (10-0) engaged in yet another round of trash talking during the UFC on Fox 22 broadcast.
While the pair where being interviewed by Jon Anik things would initially remain calm between both fighters, but tempers would quickly begin to flare after Cruz claimed that Garbrandt’s chin was “very nice and weak” and asked the 25-year old how many times he “had been hospitalised for a concussion”.
Team Alpha Male trained “No Love” would angrily fire back at “The Dominator” with an expletive laden rant telling the 31-year old champion to “keep talking that s–t, if you wasn’t up in the Fox booth desk right now I’d come up and smack the s–t out of you”.
Garbrandt would continue the rant stating “I’ve never had to chase p—y in my life and on December 30 I ain’t doing it, I don’t have to” which appeared to amuse Cruz who simply responded by asking “what are you talking about”.
The bantamweight champion would continue to add fuel to the fire by asking his December 30 opponent to explain to viewers about the rumoured knockouts he had previously suffered in training “what happened to your concessions bro, explain to the people” to which he responded he had been knocked out once in training.
In a one final stinging jab Cruz would mock Garbrandt when he told him “I was able to buy a house with all of the wins that I have over your team, who do you think is going to teach you how to beat me, come on man.”
UFC 207 takes place on Saturday, December 30 2016 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and is headlined by a main event which sees women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes make the first defence her title against former champion Ronda Rousey.
