After a disappointing 1st round TKO loss to Irish superstar Conor McGregor at UFC 178, former top ranked featherweight Dustin Poirier (16-4) has taken the bold step to move back up to lightweight in a bid to restart his career.

Poirier’s first assignment at lightweight will take place at UFC Fight Night 63 where he will face previously undefeated Brazilian Diego Ferreira (11-1) who suffered the first loss of his 12-fight career when his was on the wrong end of a unanimous decision loss to Beneil Dariush at UFC 179.
