SBG Ireland fighter Gunnar “Gunni” Nelson will take on Alan Jouban in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night London, which takes place at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday, March 18.
The event will be headlined by a five-round light-heavyweight bout between No. 5 ranked Jimi Manuwa and No.7 ranked Corey Anderson.
Nelson will return to action at UFC Fight Night 107 after ten months out of the octagon; his first since a second round submission victory over Albert Tumenov in May 2016 which was arguably the best performance of his career.
“Gunni” was then scheduled to face Dong Hyun Kim in November at UFC Fight Night 99 in Belfast, but an injury forced the 28-year-old out of the bout.
Jouban meanwhile is looking to make it four victories on the bounce having already secured wins over Brendan O’Reilly, Belal Muhammad and becoming the first person to defeat Mike Perry all since the beginning of last year.
Since training alongside UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor, the No .9 ranked welterweight has received a huge Irish following and will be hoping they make the journey to England on March 18.
